2020 COVID-19 Relief Campaign, Financial Report
The Australian Bolivian Association is grateful to all donors for their contributions to this cause. Their donations have allowed us to help vulnerable communities by purchasing and distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline medical workers in 9 public hospitals across Bolivia, oxygen devices and specialised medical equipment for coronavirus patients, and also donate medication & PPE to an indigenous community and a nursing home.
The Australian Bolivian Association wish to share the endeavours of Bolivia’s firefighters who are encountering difficulties with wildfires in the Amazon.
Over the past year, we have witnessed the monumental work that Australia has done to control the wildfires that have hit the country earlier this year. It is within that framework that we are happy to share this story of camaraderie from Bolivian firefighters who learned how to weave nests for Australian animals affected by the fires. These nests were delivered to the Fauna Rescue in South Australia.
