Who We Are

Mission: The Australian Bolivian Association Inc. is an apolitical not-for-profit organisation aiming to strengthen professional and cultural ties between Australia and Bolivia while empowering our community through collective educative and philanthropic action.

Our Story: Established in 2020 by Australian-Bolivians with a diverse range of experience and professional skills, the Australian Bolivian Association Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation committed to strengthening ties between Australia and Bolivia through professional, educational, philanthropic and cultural endeavours. It is registered as an incorporated association in New South Wales under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 and operates at a national level within Australia.

The organisation’s 100% volunteer-based team has a genuine passion to develop and foster an Australian-Bolivian relationship. This enthusiasm has allowed the Australian Bolivian Association to achieve milestones in less than a year since its foundation, including the development of its magazine, Australian Bolivian. Additionally, in the wake of the pandemic, the Australian Bolivian Association promoted and administered a COVID-19 Relief Campaign to fund the purchase of personal protective equipment, prone position mattresses, oxygen-related devices and medicine for vulnerable communities. Community endeavours and causes that link Australia and Bolivia have also been endorsed and supported.

The Australian Bolivian Association aims to continue to foster community spirit and support the Bolivian-Australian local community with relevant information and assistance. It also aims to support leadership and cooperation in the community’s development through workshops and discussion of ideas and issues vital to both countries and their peoples.
